چکیده
Introduction: Cerebral autoregulation disturbance may compromise cerebral blood flow, thereby increasing the risk of hypoperfusion, which increases loss consciousness (LOC). Transient hyperemic response test (THRT) using transcranial Doppler (TCD) can be used to assess disturbance. The goal this study was relationship between impaired assessed TCD and a history LOC in patients with mild head injury. Patients Methods: This comparative analytic unpaired data cross-sectional design that involved 73 people divided into two groups. Group A (36 subjects) consists brain injury LOC, B (37 without LOC. THRT by identifying absence (negative result) flow velocity increase upon applying pressure on ipsilateral carotid artery. We employed chi-square logistic regression tests any correlation variables. value P < 0.05 considered significant. Results: Approximately 93% subjects who experienced also showed negative results. found statistically significant (P 0.001) THRT. In test, we age, gender, hematocrit were not related Conclusion: There is decreased event patients.

Background: Mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) is the least brain injury due to direct or indirect blow to the head, which according to the Glasgow scale is given a score between 13 and 15. The findings indicate cognitive impairment. Perceptual dysfunction is one of the most important cognitive deficits in these patients. The present study was designed and performed to compare MTBI patients wit...
متن کاملDiagnostic History of Traumatic Axonal Injury in Patients with Cerebral Concussion and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury
• Cerebral concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) have been used interchangeably, although the two terms have different definitions. • Traumatic axonal injury (TAI) is a more severe subtype of TBI than concussion or mild TBI. • In this review article, we reviewed the history of TAI in patients with concussion and mild TBI.
